Dr. C. Gordon Olson 1930 ~ 2020

The Global Gospel Ministries Board of Trustees  regrets to announce  Dr. Olson's  passing into Glory on  January 30, 2020 .


  • A memorial service was held in the Lynchburg , Virginia area early in February.  In light of his long-time residence in NJ, Professorship at Northeastern Bible College, and membership in Bethlehem Church, Randolph NJ, a memorial service will be held at Grace/Bethlehem Church,  (758 State Route 10, Randolph, NJ 07869)  on Saturday, February 22 at 11 AM .

 Gordon Olson was converted and called to the ministry while studying engineering.  After majoring in theology at Dallas Seminary, he founded the Pakistan Fellowship of Evangelical Students (1956) and ministered in Urdu among indigenous Brethren assemblies in Pakistan.  He was Professor of Theology and Missions at Northeastern Bible College (1967-90), a trustee member of Christar mission (1968-2004), served in Baptist pastorates in New Jersey and New York City, and was a Bible answerman on WFME for a decade.  He received the Doctorate in Missiology from Trinity International University, and his missions text, What in the World is God Doing? (5th edition) has been widely used since 1990.  Two additional books authored by Dr. Olson are Beyond Calvinism and Arminianism (2002) and Getting the Gospel Right (2005).  In addition, in 2018 Dr. Olson published The Resurrection New Testament, a complete transnational revision based on his decades of study.  This work also includes an Interwoven Gospel Narrative .  All books are available by clicking on the MORE tab above and then selecting "BOOKS BY DR. OLSON." Most recently he was a Bible and missions conference speaker, as well as an adjunct professor at Liberty University, Lynchburg, Virginia.
