Gordon Olson was converted and called to the ministry while studying engineering. After majoring in theology at Dallas Seminary, he founded the Pakistan Fellowship of Evangelical Students (1956) and ministered in Urdu among indigenous Brethren assemblies in Pakistan. He was Professor of Theology and Missions at Northeastern Bible College (1967-90), a trustee member of Christar mission (1968-2004), served in Baptist pastorates in New Jersey and New York City, and was a Bible answerman on WFME for a decade. He received the Doctorate in Missiology from Trinity International University, and his missions text, What in the World is God Doing? (5th edition) has been widely used since 1990. Two additional books authored by Dr. Olson are Beyond Calvinism and Arminianism (2002) and Getting the Gospel Right (2005). He is currently a Bible and missions conference speaker, as well as an adjunct professor at Liberty University, Lynchburg, Virginia.
